About me

I am Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Amsterdamin the Netherlands.

Previously, I held positions as Assistant Professor at Utrecht University and as Senior Researcher at the research unit ‘Migration, Integration, Transnationalization’ at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. I obtained my PhD at the European University Institutein Florence, Italy (2010).

My academic interests include ethnic inequality in the labour market, discrimination, social capital and social participation, attitudes towards immigrants, ethnic diversity, and quantitative research methods.
